You decide how to use it: you can use it to confirm that you are okay and notify your contacts if something might be wrong, or simply to receive alerts when someone you care about does not check in.
Confirm regularly that you are okay. If you do not confirm in time, your emergency contacts will automatically receive an alert by email and notification.

Yes, you can choose to confirm every 12 hours, 1, 2, or 3 days from the Preferences section in the app and change it whenever you want.
First, check your Spam or Promotions folders and search for the sender noreply@are-you-dead-4b7da.firebaseapp.com. If you use Hotmail/Outlook, the email may take a few minutes to arrive or be filtered more aggressively, so wait a bit before requesting a new one. Only tap “Resend email” if the message has not arrived after several minutes.
Yes. All your data is stored in Firebase (Google infrastructure), encrypted in transit and at rest. You only share information with the contacts you choose. We comply with GDPR and only request the minimum data needed for the service to work.
No. This app is an auxiliary tool and does NOT replace official emergency services (112, police, medical services). In a real emergency, you must always call the official emergency number in your country.
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account). All your data are permanently deleted from the main database.
