- Push notification tokens (FCM): To send reminders and alerts.
- Confirmation timestamps: Records of when you confirm that you are okay.
- Authentication information: Sign-in provider (email/Google).
2.3 Information from third-party services
- Google Sign-In: Name, email, and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- AdMob: Advertising identifier and device data to show ads.
- SendGrid: Minimum data needed to send emails (recipient email address).
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your personal information to:
- Provide the main service: Allow periodic confirmations that you are okay.
- Send notifications: Reminders when there is less than 1 hour left to confirm and alerts to your contacts if you do not confirm in time.
- Email communications: Contact invitations, email verification, and alerts.
- Commercial communications (optional): Send news and offers about the App by email only if you have given explicit consent.
- Show ads: Advertising through Google AdMob to support the free version.
- Improve the App: Usage analysis to improve stability and features.
4. STORAGE AND SECURITY
4.1 Where your data is stored
- Firebase Cloud Firestore: Database hosted on Google servers.
- Firebase Authentication: Secure management of credentials and sign-ins.
Your data is protected with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, according to Firebase/Google security policies.
4.2 Data retention
- Data is kept while your account remains active.
- When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted.
- Contacts you added will stop receiving alerts from you.

5.2 Sharing with emergency contacts
- When you add a contact, we share your name and email address to request their consent.
- If you do not confirm that you are okay in time, an alert is sent to those contacts.
We do NOT sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes unrelated to the service.
6. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)
As a user in the European Union, you have the right to:
- Access: Know what data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Delete your account and all your data from within the App.
- Portability: Request a copy of your data.
- Objection: Object to the processing of your data for certain purposes (for example, direct email marketing), even if you previously consented.
7. ADVERTISING AND COOKIES
7.1 Google AdMob
The App shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may:
- Collect the device’s advertising identifier.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS
By downloading, installing, or using the mobile App "Are You Dead?", you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
"Are You Dead?" allows:
- Active users: To periodically confirm that they are okay.
- Passive users: To receive alerts when someone who has added them as a contact does not confirm in time.
The App sends reminders and alerts, but does not replace official emergency services.
3. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
As a user, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and up-to-date information.
- Maintain the security of your account and password.
- Use the App in a responsible and lawful manner.
- Not use the App as a replacement for emergency services (112, police, medical services, etc.).
- Obtain consent from your contacts before adding them.
4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

4.1 The App is an auxiliary tool
- It does not replace professional emergency services (112, police, medical services, etc.).
- We do not guarantee that notifications will always be delivered on time.
- We are not responsible for technical failures, loss of connectivity, or notification errors.
4.2 Use at your own risk
- You are responsible for managing your emergency contacts.
- Daily Check Apps is not liable for consequences arising from the use or misuse of the App.
- Alerts depend on internet connectivity, Firebase servers, email delivery, and push notifications.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content of the App (design, code, texts, graphic elements, and the "Are You Dead?" brand) is owned by Daily Check Apps.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App.
- Reverse engineer the code.
- Use the brand or graphic elements without express authorization.
6. ADVERTISING
The App shows ads through Google AdMob to support the free service. By using the App, you agree to the display of advertising.
7. MODIFICATIONS AND SERVICE SUSPENSION
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time.
- Update these Terms (we will notify you of important changes).
- Suspend accounts that violate these Terms or make abusive use of the App.
8. ACCOUNT DELETION
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account within the App.
When you delete your account:
- All your data is permanently deleted.
- Contacts you added will no longer receive alerts from you.
- This action is irreversible.
9. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by Spanish law.
Any disputes will be submitted to the courts of Granada, Spain.
